Salisbury University Sports Medicine Symposium
Annetta is pictured with Pat Lamboni, the head athletic trainer at Salisbury University where she attended the Salisbury University Sports Medicine Symposium on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 17/18. She heard talks from doctors who care for athletes of all ages, including Dr. Frank Henn, the doctor for the University of Maryland and Dr. Daryl Osbahr, Asst. Team Physician for the Washington Nationals. The emphasis of the course was the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand. Additionally, Dr. Brandon and Dr. Kang demonstrated surgeries on the shoulder and elbow. Annetta states, “I felt the conference was so helpful. Hearing this caliber of physicians speak and having them dedicate their time to help us become better therapists was motivating and enlightening and will also help us in offering the most up to date thinking and care in conservative and post-surgical management of our patients. The discussions on post-operative rehabilitation in relation to the research literature afforded great learning opportunities. Attending conferences such as this helps PRO P.T. bring the best they can to each and every patient.
