P.R.O. offers early return to work management rehabilitation services as well as functional testing. This includes helping companies develop ADA appropriate job descriptions, if needed by the company, and then completing functional testing to those job descriptions. This allows appropriate return to work based on the testing of the essential job functions and helps to reduce the total cost of the claim as well as try to prevent recurrence.
We have a Physical Therapy Rehabilitation staff dedicated to work injury management with regards to treatment interventions and philosophy of care. We have the employee, when appropriate, complete the essential job functions during the course of the care, rather than wait until the end of care. This helps to decrease the costs of the course of care and often negates the need for work conditioning. We stay “work return focused” from day one of the rehabilitation and work closely with the employer and adjustor/case manager.
If the case time extends and formal functional testing is needed, we also offer Functional Capacity Testing (FCE) to help with work placement or disability measurement that would help a Medical Examiner determine disability status.
PRO also offers Post-Hire Pre-Employment functional testing to help match the worker to the work. These are designed for the company and based on functional job descriptions and testing to those descriptions.
