Running Medicine 2013
A great conference for runners and clinicians!
Attending from P.R.O. were Annetta Haddox, Stephen Worrel, and Melissa Jennings. They are pictured here with Eric Magrum. Eric Magrum is the director of HealthSouth UVA outpatient. He also teaches and directs the VOMPTI program and helped coordinate the Runner’s Conference.
The Running Medicine conference presented some of the best and newest research for running biomechanics, injury treatment, and prevention. Over the course of the weekend we were able to learn various running drills that can be applied to all runners regardless of experience or desired mileage.
Another great set of tools we picked up were assessment techniques specifically targeted to runners and how each is applied during an evaluation.
To all runners looking to get back on track or improve, come on over to P.R.O. Physical Therapy. We will listen to your running goals and complete a thorough biomechanical evaluation as well as video analysis to help you better meet your running goals or recover from injury.
Helping you do what you love, that is our commitment.
