Annetta Haddox, PT, MA

Annetta Haddox, PT, MA

Annetta received her Physical Therapy degree in 1985 and a Master’s Degree in Counseling in 1995 both from West Virginia University. Her 30+-year career includes a variety of settings with a skill emphasis on manual therapy and extensive training in treatment of the spine. Annetta has developed programs for industry that include ergonomic assessments, post-hire/pre-placement, fit and return for duty evaluations and wellness/ prevention screenings. Additionally, she helps companies develop accurate job descriptions from which functional testing for early work return and work placement decisions can be made. She has served as the on-site physical therapist for the company formally known as E.I. Dupont in Front Royal, VA. Annetta is also certified by Isernhagen WorkWell Systems and DSI to perform Functional Capacity Evaluation, functional job descriptions and testing. In 2009 she was honored with the opportunity to be the guest speaker for the West Virginia University Physical Therapy Clinical Pathways Ceremony. In 2010 she received the “Sandy L. Burkart Outstanding Clinical Instructor Award” from West Virginia University. This award is named for an outstanding clinician and visionary for the profession of Physical Therapy. She has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) since 1983 with current section membership in Orthopedics and Private Practice and is also a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy (AAOMPT). Unrelated to physical therapy, but keeping close to her biology degree and agriculture roots, she is a member of the Bee Keepers of the Northern Shenandoah.

As the captain of the PRO Team, Annetta challenges her colleagues to learn, grow and serve every day.

Aaron J. Hartstein, MPT, OCS, FAAOMPT

Aaron J. Hartstein, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT

Aaron graduated from West Virginia University in 2003 with a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy. Soon after graduation, he attended and completed a yearlong orthopedic manual therapy course through the University of Virginia. In 2006-2007 he completed a 3-month Mentorship and 6-month Fellowship through Kaiser Permanente in Hayward, California in Advanced Orthopedic Manual Therapy. Upon completion, he received Fellowship status through the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT) and is currently 1 of 10 physical therapists in the state of Virginia with this certification. Since returning from California, Aaron continues to stay active in the educational process by serving as a Clinical Instructor for WVU and guest lecturing at local PT programs such as Shenandoah University. As an affiliate with UVA-HealthSouth, PRO Physical Therapy is a training site for their Orthopedic Residency program. Aaron provides one-on-one mentoring for therapists completing this year-long orthopedic residency and also serves as one of the four-member faculty team. Aaron is member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) as well as the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy (AAOMPT). Aaron has treated patients for the last twelve years at PRO, however, he will be teaching full-time at Shenandoah University beginning in the Fall of 2015. As a result he does not currently carry his own case load, but will be continue to be on site at PRO for teaching and mentoring purposes.

Amanda Keatts, MPT

Amanda Keatts, MPT

Amanda obtained her Master of Physical Therapy from West Virginia University in 2006. She strives at excelling with treating all musculoskeletal injuries and attends continuing education course to further her manual therapy skills. She also has a special interest in treating women’s health issues including pelvic floor dysfunction, urinary incontinence, rehabilitation after breast surgeries, and pregnancy and postpartum related neuromusculoskeletal conditions. She has a certification of achievement in Pregnancy and Postpartum Physical Therapy (CAPP-OB) through the American Physical Therapy Association and is an active member of the Women’s Health section of the APTA.

Lindsey Swaim, DPT, OCS

Lindsey Swaim, DPT, OCS

Lindsey graduated in 2006 from WVU with a Bachelor’s in Exercise Physiology and a minor in Sport and Exercise Psychology. She continued on at WVU to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2010 and chose to return to her hometown of Winchester, VA to begin her career at PRO Physical Therapy. She proceeded to complete a residency in Orthopedic Physical Therapy through Evidence in Motion and passed her Orthopedic Specialty Certification (OCS) in 2013. Lindsey is also certified in Level I Dry Needling and has completed a number of manual therapy continuing education courses and Selective Functional Movement Analysis (SFMA). She enjoys working with a variety of patient populations and diagnoses with emphasis on proper movement and form to help prevent future injury.

She has maintained her membership of in the American Physical Therapy Association throughout her time as a PT.

Brian Collins, DPT, OCS

Brian Collins, DPT, OCS

Brian graduated from Abilene Christian University in 2008 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, and went on to receive his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University in 2011. Following graduation, Brian worked as an outpatient orthopedic physical therapist in Syracuse, New York before joining the team at PRO Physical Therapy in 2014. He received his designation as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) from the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) in 2015. Brian has a special interest in manual therapy and treating individuals with neck pain and headaches. He enjoys furthering his knowledge and has completed his Level 1 Certification in Therapeutic Dry Needling as well as further continuing education in the areas of clinical reasoning, exercise prescription and manual therapy including thrust manipulation. Outside of work, Brian enjoys playing music and spending time with his beautiful wife Megan. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and Orthopedic section.

Jaime Weckesser, DPT

Jaime was raised in Collegeville, PA. She attended Albright College, where she was a member of the softball team and Alpha Phi Omega Community Service Fraternity. Jaime graduated Albright in 2012 with a degree in Biology. She continued on to earn her Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from West Virginia University in 2015. Jaime completed her last clinical rotation with PRO and decided to return as a member of the clinical team. Her clinical interests include balance and fall prevention and mobility in the geriatric population. She is working towards a specialty in Geriatrics. Jaime is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Geriatrics section. In her spare time, she enjoys going to the beach, watching football and baseball games, and crafting.

Nicolas Hoover, PT, DPT

Nic graduated from Shenandoah University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a focus in Exercise Science, a minor in Biology and a Certificate in Coaching. He received a Personal Training certification through the American College of Sports Medicine before returning to Shenandoah University where he graduated in 2016 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Nic joined the P.R.O. Physical Therapy team after being accepted into the University of Virginia-HealthSouth Orthopedic Residency program. He is currently enrolled in the Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy Series through the Virginia Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy Institute in pursuit of his Orthopedic Clinical Specialist certification. Nic participated in global service projects while in PT school, including trips to Haiti and Guatemala, and is passionate about continuing to help those in need. Nic is happily engaged to his fiancé Kellie; they participate in CrossFit, enjoy snowboarding and spending as much time as possible outdoors with their 3 year old cocker spaniel, Zoe. Nic is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, Virginia chapter, and Orthopedic Section.

Justin Bittner, DPT

Justin is a native of Frostburg, MD. He attended Frostburg State University where he obtained his Bachelor’s degree in 2012, majoring in Biology with a Chemistry minor. After graduating from FSU, Justin attended Shenandoah University, graduating in 2016 with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. While at Shenandoah, Justin completed one of his clinical affiliations at PRO. Following graduation, Justin wanted to continue to learn and become an overall better clinician. He applied and was accepted into the UVa-HealthSouth Orthopedic Residency Program, VOMPTI. Justin chose to return to PRO as his clinical site and began working as part of the team in August 2016. As part of the residency, Justin will be mentored by Aaron Hartstein, MPT, OCS, FAAOMPT and Brett Huffman DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT. Each week, Aaron or Brett will spend 4 hours treating patients with Justin to discuss ideas, clinical reasoning, treatment approaches and decision-making, in order to facilitate professional growth and enhancement of clinical expertise. Justin is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, Orthopedic and Sports sections. In his free time he enjoys outdoor activities, golf and landscape photography.

Katherine Hooker, PT, DPT, MS, ATC 

Kate was born and raised in the Asheville, North Carolina. She attended Shenandoah University, where she was a member of the women’s basketball team. In 2014, Kate graduated from Shenandoah University with a B.S in Exercise Science. She continued her education at Shenandoah University and graduated with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy and Masters of Athletic Training in 2016. Kate is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Pediatrics Section, as well as the National Athletic Training Association. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, watching sports (especially the UNC Tarheels!), and spending time with family. Her clinical interests include post-concussion management, orthopedic/sports injuries in athletes of all ages, and general pediatrics.

John Hunt, DPT, LAT, ATC, CSCS

John is a native of Newport, VA where he played football, basketball and baseball through high school and baseball in college. His athletic career was shortened due to injuries and other health conditions. Following graduation from Ferrum College in 1994 he entered the business world where he was Vice President of Hunt Enterprises for 7 years. His continued desire to be around athletics and help athletes achieve goals that he was unable to led him back to graduate school.  He graduated from Shenandoah University in 2004 and was the first graduate of the dual degree program, earning a Master’s of Science in Athletic Training and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. He began his PT clinical career in general orthopedics before focusing on athletic injuries and physically active adults. In the afternoons/evenings he was the athletic trainer Giles High School.   In 2007 he returned to Shenandoah University as a full time faculty member within the Division of Athletic Training, and has been at SU since that time.   He’s served as the Clinical Education Coordinator since 2009. His research interest is Reducing Injury Risk in Baseball and he has ongoing studies in collegiate and professional baseball. During this time he has also continued to remain active in the PT clinic and high school setting.   John is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and has worked with youth to college athletes over the past 10 years.  He has recently joined Pro Motion/PRO Physical Therapy, located in Winchester, and will lead the Lifestyle and Sports Performance team.

Brad Dinklocker, DPT, ATC

Brad is an athletic trainer, physical therapist, and performance coach with the PRO Motion team.  He received his Bachelor’s degree in kinesiology with a focus in exercise science at Shenandoah University before entering the dual Master in Athletic Training/Doctorate of Physical Therapy program at Shenandoah University.  While in graduate school Brad completed numerous clinical rotations including rehabilitation in the clinic as well as on field coverage of sporting events. He also had the opportunity to spend nearly a year on clinical rotations at the Gulf Breeze Florida location of EXOS (formerly Athlete’s Performance) partaking in rehabilitation of professional and collegiate athletes.  While in Florida Brad also gained extensive experience working with tactical athletes rehabilitating and assisting in performance coaching of retired and active duty military from all branches as well as law enforcement.  He brings this experience to the Adult Lifestyles and Sports Performance programs here at PRO Motion with a desire to keep people in condition and training safely and pain free while progressively rehabilitating their injuries and then aiding in their return to unrestricted activity.  In his free time Brad’s exercise and sport participation include training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, weightlifting, and running.  His other interests include hiking, backpacking, gardening, cooking, shooting, and occasionally woodworking.

Sarah Geraghty, DPT

Sarah was born and raised in Fairmont, WV. She graduated from West Virginia University in 2014 with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology with an emphasis in Aquatic Therapy. She continued on at West Virginia University to earn her Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy in 2017. One of her last clinical rotations was completed here at PRO, and she decided to return to join the team. Sarah has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 2014. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities, reading, and spending time with her husband Patrick.

Jennifer Boyle, DPT

Jen grew up in Edison, New Jersey. She attended Rider University where she graduated in 2013 with a biology degree. She continued her education at MCPHS University (Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Science) where she graduated with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2017.  Jen moved down to Virginia and joined the PRO team after being accepted into the University of Virginia-Health South Orthopedic Residency Program. As part of this program Jen will be mentored by Aaron Hartstein, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT 4 hours a week where she will be challenged to further develop her critical thinking skills and apply them to her practice. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, Massachusetts’s chapter. In her spare time Jen enjoys hiking, swimming and spending time home in New Jersey with her friends and family.

Denise serves as a part-time Physical Therapist with P.R.O. Even though she does not see patients full time at P.R.O. she was and continues to be very instrumental in the building and continued growth of the company. She helps mentor our clinicians and serves as an esteemed resource for our educational development and advises on sports medicine programs. Denise received her Master’s Degree in Athletic Training from Old Dominion University and a Physical Therapy degree from West Virginia University. She originally joined P.R.O. in 2001, completed her transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from University of South Alabama in 2010, and then received a faculty appointment in Shenandoah University’s Athletic Training Program. In addition to her work at PRO and SU, Denise works as a sports medicine therapist for the women’s professional circuit of the United States Tennis Association (USTA), traveling to 3-4 tournaments each year providing care to athletes from all over the world.

Jackie received her physical therapy assistant degree from Northern Virginia Community College in 1999. She excels in communicating and instructing patients under the guidance of the team therapists. Jackie has completed several manual therapy courses and continues to develop her clinical skills on a daily basis.

Mandy graduated from West Virginia University in 1992 with a B.S. degree in Animal Science. She then returned to school to specialize in Physical Therapy and graduated from Northern Virginia Community College as a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant in 1996. Mandy has worked in a variety of clinical settings and has been a member of the PRO team since 2006.

Larry Shipley, LPTA

Larry attended Shepherd University obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Fitness and Exercise Science in 2012. He then started working at PRO Physical therapy as a technician. While working at PRO he was also coaching high school football and providing strength and conditioning programs to numerous local high schools. Larry then obtained his Associate’s Degree to become a Physical Therapist Assistant from Blue Ridge Community and Technical College in 2015. Larry has been with PRO for over 3 years and is continuing to expand his knowledge with multiple certifications.

Larry Shipley, LPTA

Larry attended Shepherd University obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Fitness and Exercise Science in 2012. He then started working at PRO Physical therapy as a technician. Jenny Williams, MS, ATC

Jenny serves as Director of our UMed Gym program.  She received her Master’s degree in Athletic Training from Shenandoah University in 2005. Her past career experience includes serving as Athletic Trainer at Jefferson High School, as well as working within the private orthopedic practice setting.  She has also taught in the high school and collegiate education settings.

Jenny brings her experience and skill to PRO Motion.  She enjoys family time with her husband and daughter, attending car shows with their antique vehicles, and staying active. This West Virginia native also maintains her active enrollment as a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association.

Lydia Bracken, CEP

Lydia Bracken heads up our Adult Lifestyle Membership and works within our UMed Gym Membership. She is a Certified Exercise Physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine. In 2015 she also became certified in the Functional Movement Screen Level 1 and 2. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology – Exercise Science from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. She has spent time learning in a variety of fitness settings throughout the last 11 years: physical therapy clinic, P.E. classes for Grades Pre-K – 5, group fitness instruction, medical wellness center, personal training with JMU faculty on campus, commercial gym, private personal training studio and has been with PRO in a variety of roles ranging from PT aide to operations manager.

Outside of work she enjoys staying active, being outside, spending time with family and continual self-education in a variety of topics.

Nate Sowers, CPT

Nate hails from Martinsburg, WV where he attended Martinsburg High School, receiving 1st team All-State honors in football, basketball, and track for three years.  He was awarded the Kennedy Award his senior year, given to the best football player in the state of West Virginia.

Nate accepted a full athletic scholarship to play football at West Virginia University.  He was a starting strong safety his junior and senior seasons.  He was also a 2-time recipient of the Iron Mountaineer Award given to the best conditioned athlete on the WVU football team.  Nate earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology from WVU’s School of Medicine.

Nate’s past career experience includes Director of Athletic Development at the HIT Center, an advanced training facility in Morgantown, WV.  During his time there, he trained thousands of youth, high school, collegiate and professional athletes of all sports. Additionally, he served as Area Director for True Athlete Performance based out of Chantilly, VA. Most recently, he headed the Athletic Performance Program at Body Renew, also serving as the Training Director there.

He resides in Clearbrook, VA.  He is a board member for the National Federation of Personal Training where he assists in test development for their entry level personal training certification.  Nate does excellent work with our PRO Motion clientele in both the Lifestyle and Sport Performance programs.

 

Andrew Marquez, CPT

Andrew Marquez is a lifelong exercise enthusiast, which led him to James Madison University where he completed a Bachelor’s in Kinesiology in May 2016. He has participated in a variety of sports ranging from endurance based cross country to more explosive based Olympic weight lifting and has competed on the national level. He enjoys helping other’s achieve their function and fitness goals through specific exercise prescription. He has had the opportunity to develop exercise programs for a wide range of individuals, from fellow weight lifters to individuals with a desire to optimize their own human potential.
